In the Queen's Garden
Lara's upcoming project In the Queen's Garden is a new-adult comic series set in a sprawling and original fantasy world. The story follows 24-year-old Maddelein as she leaves home to study plants, fight monsters, and find medicines to help her sick mom. As Maddelein and her friends learn more about their own strengths and the Lands they're traveling, they start to unravel the secrets of the thousand-year-old war that has shaped everything they know.
Packed with action and intrigue, the world of In the Queen's Garden is inventive, richly detailed and unapologetically queer.
Other Projects
Lara has plenty of other projects in the works, including the comedy/horror comic Cryptid Creek and a story about an infinite series of hallways called The Corridors. They love painting both digitally and traditionally, and can never keep themself from inventing strange new worlds to explore.
